Front End Web Developer Wanted!

The Front End Web Developer is a hands-on, Javascript rich, web application developer, responsible for the creation, implementation and maintenance of professional, responsive, expressive, dynamic, collaborative and stable Net-Centric, Warfare compliant web pages. The Front End Web Developer will develop pages that work in a low bandwidth environment using Javascript, AJAX, JQuery/ExtJS and CSS. The target browser will be IE6 and they will use REST for the retrieval of data.

Essential Attributes:

Three or more years experience of building dynamic front-end using Javascript, AJAX, JQuery and/or ExtJS and CSS.

Proficient in XML and XSD language.

Solid track record of producing clean, error-free code and of completing assigned work on time.

A minimum of three years technical work experience in a team environment as a programmer.

Must be able to work in an agile team environment with short deadlines and changing requirements.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels within the organization with tact and diplomacy.

Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to change; well developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively; strong documentation and reporting skills.

Ability to work independently, with limited (to no) supervision.

A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Desirable Attributes:

Experience in Java and J2EE, ASP.NET and .NET.

Certified professional eg Sun Certified Java Developer/Programmer.

The position will support I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) and so military experience, or at least familiarity with a military environment, is valuable.

An interest in forward deployment (forward deployment is not a requirement of this role, but if the successful candidate is willing, then it could become a possibility).

It is anticipated that duties can be fulfilled through a combination of working from Moebius office in Sorrento Valley, on-site at Camp Pendleton or MCAS Miramar.
